Hemp Ginger Green Smoothie
Its damp and cool this morning, and its one of those days where the morning turned to afternoon at a blink of the eye…I’m sure you know what I mean. This morning I needed something quick (this always seems to be the case) warming and filling.
A new smoothie emerged, its perfect fuel for a whole food meal on the run! I use the products I offer here on fullchakra.com, Health Force, and Nutiva Brands.

Main Ingredients:
6 Romaine lettuce leaves, washed
Handful of parsley, rinses
½ banana, fresh or frozen
1 C frozen peaches
¼ C Hemp Seeds
¼ inch piece of fresh ginger
Water to blend
Enhancements:
3 scoops Hemp Protein Powder
1 T Lecithin
1 T Spirulina, more or less to taste, me, I’m a green smoothie queen, so 2-3 T of green powder soothes my soul!

Blend fruit and hemp seeds until smooth, toss in the enhancements, blend again, add more water if necessary, and drink with joy!
No free flowing oil needs to be added to make this smoothie a long burning source of fuel, the hemp seeds and hemp protein powder do the trick, even those with blood sugar issues should find this blend long lasting, though a handful of soaked nuts or seeds an 1-11/2 hours later is ideal.
