Eat Organic Food!

My approach is lots of fresh, organic raw food combined with consciously chosen cooked food; otherwise known as high raw.

Enjoy the easy-to-make, high raw and healthy cooked food recipes in my recipe section.  These recipes contain nutritional integrity, especially when made with organically grown ingredients.

Dining on healthfully prepared food, made with joy, love and awareness is of great importance. In order to make beneficial dietary shifts, its essential to find a solid measure of pleasure as we step up to healthier dining. Enjoying your daily spread is essential if your moving from unlimited to limited dietary choices of any kind. Eating all raw, vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore or even a carnivore based diet, with purpose is fine, if alignment and enjoyment are activated.

Many people ask me what I eat. I shift my diet around over the course of the year to meet my ever changing needs and priorities.  I often start my days with a green vegetable juice enhanced with green powder, hemp seeds or protein powder, or a low fruit green smoothie with my favorite powders. I snack on soaked almonds and apples or celery, or fresh fruit.  Mid-day wraps are my go to favorite, nori or lettuce leaves stuff with avocado, cultured vegetables, sea vegetable salad, seed cheese or pate, extra lettuce or sprouts, whatever is fresh and fast. Soup for mid-day or evening is always great for me.  Evenings I enjoy a big salad, often kale or collards as the base, or romaine lettuce tossed with at least half a dozen vegetables in varying colors and textures. I eat a variety of protein foods, depending on the season, and ebb and flow of my busy schedule.

This works best for my body; others may thrive on denser fare. Find the best food fit for your highest health, or, if you need help figuring it out, consider a private consultation.

About dessert: when you know how to work with raw foods you can make healthy, delicous desserts without flour, sugar or dairy products. These treats are so satisfying that you may never bake again. With raw food prep. In 15 minutes or less you can produce crusts, pies and cookies that are healthier than a typical bag of trail mix. These desserts are power foods too - that is part of the beauty of living foods - they are filled with flavor and energy!
If your life is super busy, raw food may be your blessing, and if you are already eating a lot of raw food, or trying to eat a high raw diet, that means you are cooking some food, so do it right!

In general I suggesting eating plenty of organic vegetables, either raw, lightly steamed, water-sautéed, stir-fried or pressure-cooked. Eat soaked, steamed or cooked grains; vegetable soups and fresh vegetable juices; poached, baked or lightly grilled foods; eggs, sunny side up style, cooked in coconut oil or ghee, preferably with soft yolks; and generous portions of well-washed, fresh leafy greens - salads or darker greens, such as kale, collards, and beet greens. Pressure-cooking is the fastest way to make easy-to-digest lentils, beans, artichokes, or beets, and highly nutritious, one-pot meals.

To our health, with love,
