Less than 10 minutes to another delicious bowl of nutrient rich soup and not a pot to clean in my sink!!
Lunch can be challenging if I’m cold, and don’t feel like eating one of my go to lettuce or nori wrap stuffed with grated or fermented veggies, avo or pate, or hummus and sprounts. I'm zipping here and there, today, from computer screen to hiking trail, to phone appointments, working through today’s to do list, which is clearly rolling over through tomorrow.
Its time to eat and I need alkalinizing vegetables, and have nothing ready-made. NOW’s the moment I think, “what’s fast” and know I will blend something, the question is what, I have already had fruit, and don’t want to keep a buzz on all through the day (tempting as it is!)
I want to make something speedy, and well, I love my blender…I hold great gratitude for the workhorse of my kitchen. When it comes down to it, I a queen of nothing else if not our family blender! Sure, I’m a sprout master, can dehydrate deserts that will bring you to your knees, or make a juice so sweet and green I can fool even a non green eating teen. Surely life without my cuisenart would truly be dull, yet, when asked which appliance “is the fairest of them all” or, when asked which appliance to invest in first folks if your just getting started with wholesome healthy eating and living foods, the blender wins hands down. Start blending; evolve into juicing, then food processing and dehydrating.
Give it up for high amp blenders today!
Into a preferably high powdered blender container, using organic produce whenever possible; toss:
Easy Green Veggie Soup
2 C packed washed spinach
2 small tomatoes
1 stalk of celery
½ peeled and pitted avocado
Small handful of dulse, approximately 2 T, whole leaf, crushed or powdered, anything goes!
¼ tsp. fresh ginger (I used a tiny piece of whole fresh ginger)
1 T miso of choice ( I used Black soybean miso from South River Miso CO.)
2 C hot water
Blend all ingredients until creamy and smooth, pour into large bowl, garnish with extra dulse, and hemp seeds. Go to the sea veggies page to see our selection of dulse, I used apple wood smoked! It’s amazingly good, raw and mineral rich! Next I will learn to link…
